Marios is a seasoned Marketing and Communications professional with two decades of experience from industries across the board.

Marios is a concerned father of a young daughter who would like to see her participate in sport, and other activities in a regulated, safe, and enjoyable environment.

He is committed to raising awareness and finding innovative solutions to address the issues of safeguarding and welfare of children and young people in sport and other non-school activities.

PhD (University of East Anglia ) and MA (Brunel University London) in Child Welfare and Protection in Sport.

Maria is a Council of Europe Member of the Pool of International Experts on Safe Sport. In 2024 Maria was awarded the Cyprus Sport Organisation (CSO) National Award for Safe Sport  for her work on child-athlete welfare.

Since 2008, Maria has collaborated with national and international organizations to achieve her vision in promoting happy and enjoyable sporting and non-sporting environments amongst children and young people. Maria’s most important contribution is the co-development of the CSO Guidance on the Promotion of Welfare for Sportspeople, which led to the adoption of more proactive approaches towards the protection, safeguarding and welfare in sport, as well as legislative and other measures. 

BSc in Psychology and  MSc in Special Educational Needs (University of Nottingham) MSc in Clinical Psychology (European University Cyprus).

Yiannis is an experienced and dedicated specialist with over 20 years of expertise working with children in the field of Special Educational Needs.

He has a proven track record of international collaborations with experts in the field, delivering lectures and seminars. He is passionate about inclusive education and extracurricular activities  and committed to supporting the developmental and emotional well-being of children.
