Introduction to safeguarding:

SSI Basic Safeguarding Training
With SS1 Certificate we certify that all of the organization’s staff that have regular responsibility, both supervised or unsupervised for children and young people, have received basic safeguarding training (trainers, coaches, assistant coaches, etc.)

SSII Safeguarded Organization
With SS2 Certificate we certify that the organization has taken every possible action to minimize the risk of abuse in their sport and ensure the welfare of children and young people:

All policies, procedures are up to date and inline with current legislation

All staff, from volunteers to senior level management, have received safeguarding training

There is an adequately trained safeguarding officer at the organization.
